My nintendo DS lite is charged but the screen stays black although the green power light is on. What to do?

Author: It is brand new, and altough it was fully charged the screen will not turn on.
its a defective DS and you have to return it i feel so sorry 4 u….

i’m not making a joke but it is scewed. take it the gamestop or summin and maybe they’ll fix it
